A print with a purpose
We went into our 20-week ultrasound overjoyed. We came out terrified.
Our daughter Alia was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot, a congenital heart defect, before she was even born. Lurie Children's Hospital was in our backyard, and the Chicago Institute for Fetal Health cared for our family through the rest of the pregnancy. After two delayed surgery attempts due to Covid and a cyberattack, at 7 months old, Alia had her full repair. At 2, she is happy, healthy, and feisty.
We are so grateful to Lurie, and we want other families facing that same uncertainty to have access to the same compassionate, world-class care that we did.
This year as part of our family’s fundraising efforts I'm releasing a special run of my Oak Park print. It will be printed locally right here in Oak Park by Print Innovation Lab on 12×18” museum-quality archival paper guaranteed to last. Local pickup or Oak Park area delivery only.
Net proceeds after production costs go directly to our Lurie donation page. This isn't a tax-deductible donation; you're buying a print. But it's a print made by an Oak Park dad who has every reason to be grateful, printed by a neighbor, for a cause that hits close to home.
Do I have to buy a print?
Nope. Feel free to visit our fundraiser page to donate directly to Lurie!
When will the prints be available?
Stay tuned! Once the fundraising wraps in early June we will begin production and arrange local delivery or pickup. Estimated production time is 10 business days. Check your email for updates!
I live out of state. Can you ship?
No. I am choosing to keep this effort local. If you still wish to donate, please visit our family fundraising page.
What percentage goes to Lurie?
The cost to produce the print is ~$40. Every cent above that will go directly to Lurie Children’s.

About the print:
Trim size: 12×18”
Inspired by my hometown of Oak Park, Illinois, this art print is a personal interpretation of the village’s architecture and spirit. It combines the village street map with highlights from local landmarks and historic homes that have stayed with me over the years. The design is an homage to the Prairie style and stained glass patterns made famous by Oak Park's own legend; Frank Lloyd Wright.
